Any of you guys on docsis 3 modems? I'm seeing 30/7 on my old sb5120. Would like to know if upgrading to a 6120 would get me any additional speed. |

Just to update. I am in Cedar Bluff and have docsis 3 and paid for the fastest service. The Knology Arris modem died within a couple of weeks so I bought a motorola from best buy (did not want to wait). I usually get near or over 30Mbps. Once or twice over the last month or so there has been an outage due to knology equipment failure. The outages lasted only an hour or so and Knology followed up my call with a call to me to check if I was online. Also, several times for short periods (sometimes just minutes) I have very low speeds like 1-3 Mbps.
I had ATT Uverse dsl for about 9 months. I was paying for 16 Mbps but often I only got 12 and many times was at 5. It was normal for Netflix or Hulu to stop and restart, very annoying. This very rarely happens with Knology. Also, ATT customer service is atrocious, incompetent and deceitful whereas knology has been fine.
