What software version is the 3347 running

Netopia SOC OS version 7.8.1 (Build r2)

If the gui and cli have no option for the syslog port there isn't one

FYI my QWest 3347 is running 7.8.4r10 and although it has Syslog options, and I've configured them, the feature doesn't work. My router sends Syslog to the same place as the 3347 (should) and that works fine.

I've read, on this site, that this is a bug with 7.8.4r10.

Can you post a picture of the page that has the syslog options or a picture of the cli options

Here's a link to the 3347 manual QWest makes available. It's not for 7.8.4r10 but does contain the Syslog CLI commands.

Thanks for the link. So far, I haven't been able to find anything about changing the default syslog port.

Syslog is standard on port 514 so I'm not surprised there's no way to change it in the 3347. My router doesn't provide a way to change it either.

Well, the 2Wire 2701HG-B allowed the port to be changed. It's just me. I'd rather not open 514 on my firewall for the syslog server, since it's a well-known port. I'd just like to change to an arbitrary port for a tiny bit more security.

I have a 3346 and it does not allow syslog port to be changed from the default 514 standard.
