[Cable] Cable availability in Aurora.

Wonder when cable service will be available in Aurora. I was really hoping it's coming together with Newmarket.
Now both Newmarket postal code areas are open for subscription. No such luck for Aurora (L4G...)
I believe Aurora and Newmarket are on the same POI - Old Bathurst...
Anybody from TSI have an answer?

I've been asking for awhile now. It's too bad Aurora isn't getting it with Newmarket. Last I asked, a few weeks ago, they said they have no ETA for Aurora.

I'm not holding my breath that it will be anytime soon.

I've been waiting for about 7+ months.
Initially I began calling in / posting in the Direct forum every month or so, but after my most recent phone call (about a week ago), when I was told cable was still unavailable in my location, I've given up hope.

I'm a former Aurora Cable employee.

At the time I left, it was towards the end of the cut node cut overs. Oak Ridges was sent down to newkirk and Aurora to Newmarket head end. So once Newmarket is ready, Aurora should be too.

That was back about 2 years when Rogers finished the change overs, since then who knows what could have happened.

Well, it is really unfortunate that TekSavvy is showing no sign of willingness to elaborate on the subject...
I'll continue to keep an eye on both TekSavvy and Acanac/Distributel and will jump the cable wagon the day it is available from any of them.

Newmarket is now on newkirk...that's why Newmarket has service. Not sure what headend Aurora is on, anyone on Robbers in Aurora should post what POI they are on, if not I can check later.

Not to doubt you here, but are you a Rogers or TSI employee and officially confirming that Newmarket is on Newkirk?

Because Rocky has posted 2 lists of POIs in the last week and the 1st showed Newmarket on Old Bathurst and the 2nd showed Newmarket on Anderson (where ever that is).

Again, not doubting you, just tired of the confusion from Rogers.

Still waiting for cable here...have there been any new areas opened up lately? Things seem to have ground to a halt

Unfortunately no updates on the upcoming POI... I'm still waiting myself for an upcoming list to post!

Oh... It's nice to see a reply from TSI finally!

Silence from your side made me think that there is some sort of secret deal between TSI and Rogers to split the areas of interest, and Aurora fell into Rogers territory.
I really hope I'm wrong.

I'll be very happy if you can answer two questions.

1. Are L4G... area codes served from the same POI as Newmarket or not?

if the answer is - yes:
2. What's the name of POI, and Why Aurora is not available for subscription.

if the answer is - no:
2. Which POI is for Aurora, and when the order for Aurora's POI was placed (if it was ever done, since there was no mention about it).

Anyway, thanks for your update, that there's no updates.

If you find out anything in direct, aurorian, I hope you'll let us know
I have a bad feeling that we've been left in the cold here - the fact that Markham is 'full up' and isn't accepting new subscribers doesn't help. There are just too many of us trying to jump ship and rid ourselves of rogers....

jackie999, I sent PM to TSI Martin. But it should be some TSI employee to deliver breakthrough news here, if they will ever come.

I just want to keep raising that question, hoping there are more Teksavvy representatives aware about it, and somebody finally can investigate further.

Hello

We are constantly applying for service rights in new areas, if your postal code does not qualify on our website teksavvy.com through the order now link after each available Cable service package at present, please check back periodically to see if the area has become available.

Unfortunately we can not provide any ETAs' for the availability of any new areas we currently cannot offer service to at this time

Regard
TSI-Dennis
