[help] Poor Wireless connections

I have been having problems with wireless connections being so slow that it is unusable. Wired connections work fine. Started this morning. ATT came out and replace the router and things worked for about 10 mins just long enough for the tech to leave then went south again. I have 3 different laptops (Vista, XP and a Mac) that are all experiencing this issue along with a HTC thunderbolt phone, an Ipad 2 and an Xbox 360. I have tried just having 1 wireless device connected having a couple. I worked with a tech for 2 and half hours of reseting IE and removing connections and re-adding them. They have scheduled another tech to come out tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas? this is very frustrating.

have the tech check the line for excessive errors, if there they seem to accumulate in a router and end up slowing it down, a reboot of the router usually clears the slowdown for some period of time, how long depends on how many errors are hitting it..

If I connected the laptops to a Ethernet connection everything works fine. Line looks good but I am willing to try anything at this point.

Is it possible that there's interference from some other wireless device or another wireless network on the same channel?

See if you don't have anything else that might run on 2.4Ghz near the router like portable phones, and a microwave. Is the router at least 3 feet away from TV's and other electronics? Scan the area to see the channels other wi-fi access points are using especially if you are in an apartment and try to change the wi-fi channel. Non overlapping channels are 1, 6 and 11 for 2.4Ghz.

The problem went away around 10:30pm last night and came back some time today. Unfortunately it was still working ok this morning so I canceled the ATT tech. I was thinking the same thing and have tried the 1,6 and 11 channel to no avail.

ok so I fired up Wireshark and found that my Canon printer going berserk. I unplugged it an the wireless instantly started working. Very strange that it worked ok over night. This is a wireless/wired Canon MP640. I have rebooted it and everything is still working ok. Thanks for the suggestions.
