Re: 2GB?

2 GB in a year? I bet your wireless carrier loves you! I can blow through that in a week if I watch Netflix on my iPhone. Here in my area there is only one free Wi-Fi hotspot in town. McDonald's and that's it.

Get Verizon. LTE rocks Plus, data is still unlimited on the phones. Then tether it..

Sadly there is no 4G of any kind here in rural MD. We didn't get 3G here until 2009. We probably won't see LTE in my neck of the woods for at least another year, if not longer.

Yeah I'm lucky. At home and work I use the WiFi and there are a lot of free WiFi spots and ATT free spots in the area. I also use the Free WiFi app.

It's nice to leave out in the open / rural area like yourself but I guess that comes with a price. I myself would rather live in the open rural area's myself over the city.

Yeah. There are drawbacks to both rural and urban living. Having experienced both, I prefer rural. Low crime and less traffic are important to me. However, with rural living there are trade offs that have to be accepted, and technology is at the top of that list unfortunately.
