If they decide to change your data plan for you to this new one, then you have grounds to terminate without paying an ETF.<br><br>With Sprint thinking about following the lead of data caps too, I really don't see a reason to jump ship to another carrier.  I use less than 2gb per month even with tethering.  Tmobile is offering 5gb for the same price.  If Verizon steps up to the plate and offers the same, I wouldn't break a sweat if I was signing up as a new customer. The used sch-u540 was put on My contract as if It was the original, Which still partly works, It just can't detect the Verizon network and It eats the battery like crazy, Even when the cover is closed as the phone stays on... So now I have a spare battery and battery cover. Of course service where I live could be better, But then I live under a metal roof which probably doesn't help much.]]></description>

Thats always been there, but there is no caps or throttles and if you do go over the roaming data you get a text telling you to call sprint something is wrong. Phone upgrades extend your contract, not replace it. Any change to a contract in the past is always considered to be a breech and you can opt out at that time for no penalty.  Read up on the contract you signed through Verizon.  Any change to the data portion is a change to your contract.  Which is why Verizon will grandfather users in.  All new contracts signed will be hit with the new structure.  This is fine because not many people will hang around on the same contract. I would venture a guess that when my Thunderbolt craps out and I get, say, a Thunderbolt 2 that unlimited plan would transfer. The lady at the VZW store agreed with me that it'd be nuts to give up that plan I've got.]]></description>
