 | PK500 adding a wireless router in client mode/bridge setup? Can't run hard wires to a part of my home and want to add a wireless router in client/bridge mode to connect home theater equipment and then wirelessly connect to the Actiontec PK500. I'm new to dsl and with cable I can do this in my sleep.
DSL setup a bit trickier.
Any help on settings would be appreciated. |

 | Thanks. Looked through them. My connection is PPPOe and I don't think I can change that. I've emailed qwest tech support. There has to be a way to have a wireless router act as a client and devices connected to it communicate to and through the PK500. |

Was totally easy setup.
Qwest Actiontec 1000 Wireless/Wired Modem/Router - One Computer Hard wired to Actiontec - Wireless out to 2 Laptops - Wireless to WET610 Downstairs - WET610 -> Cisco e3000 Wireless/Wired Router - 2 Computers hard wired to e3000 - Wireless to 1 laptop - Wired to Blu-Ray/Netflix Box - Wired to Roku Box -- The path that leads to truth is littered with the bodies of the ignorant - Miyamoto Musashi |

Linksys WRT54GL with Tomato firmware installed. |

 | reply to PDXracer How did you setup the Actiontec? And why not use the e3000 for the WET? |

wayjacPremium,MVM join:2001-12-22 Indy | reply to jsmiddleton4 You should connect the linksys directly to a computer using a ethernet cable Change the ip address of the linksys to 192.168.0.60 You need to use the new ip to access the linksys
Change the wireless mode of the linksys to wireless ethernet bridge Once that's done you'll setup the linksys much the same as you would do with any other wireless device |

 | Did that. Could find the dsl modem. DSL modem would not give dhcp IP's to any clients connected to the linksys. Seems to be a setting in the PK500. |

 | reply to jsmiddleton4 Thanks for all the help. We punted. Went wired to wireless router and then set it up as pure AP. Took a day to pull with all the stuff in the way but its done and now we're 100mbs to the dsl modem. Now if we could get the speeds QWest promised..... |
