myq @bellsouth.net | Who Fixes the DSLAM, Line Problems, Etc? If you're on Earthlink DSL, who fixes the DSLAM, Line Problems, etc when something goes wrong? How is this done/what are the procedures? |

* Earthlink uses multiple vendors and it could be AT&T (Former SBC and Former Bellsouth), Covad, Qwest, or Verizon depending on which vendor is providing the DSL to your location. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |

myq @bellsouth.net | ...and I'm betting AT&T would give you the cold shoulder if you're in their territory? |
|
myq @bellsouth.net | Sorry for the double post, but I have to ask...
Has anyone ever dealt with AT&T on needing to have the DSLAM or line repaired in a situation like this? How do they react? Can you comment, please? |

You call Earthlink and they then call AT&T if the line or DSLAM show to be the actual fault. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |

myq @bellsouth.net | I am more concerned with what prevents AT&T from going:
'Oh, look... an Earthlink customer... Just call Earthlink back and tell them we didn't find anything wrong and we'll go get lunch.' |

'Oh, look... an Earthlink customer... Just call Earthlink back and tell them we didn't find anything wrong and we'll go get lunch.' The exact same proposed action can happen to AT&T direct customers also, so there is nothing either customer (a AT&T subscriber or an Earthlink subscriber) can do if the tech decides to not do their job. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |
