It is a bad thing only when someone else does it.
Like say, waterboarding.
Or the KLA (Kosovo LIberation Army), labeled as terrorist organization (properly) until they conveniently became our allies to fight Slobodan Milosevic (which was just defending Serbia, as its president), then they magically were renamed "freedom fighters".
Or the the "freedom fighters" mujahedeen fighting Soviets, which became terrorists when supporting the Taliban.
A matter of perspective, seems. |
