1 edit | [TW] Slow connection speed and high pings Have the 7 mbps package through Earthlink/TWC. Last night, I saw my speeds go from the usual 40 ping/6.9-7 mbps to several hundred ping and anywhere from 1.75-4 mbps. Online games became unplayable. Subsequent speed tests have been more like 35 ping and 3-6 mbps but online gameplay is still basically impossible.
Restarting my modem and router gets me the connection test I expect and trying to play a game immediately afterwards works fine. But a few minutes later within that same game, it starts right back up with the lag. This is the first time this has gone on in the two months I've had it. |
