quote: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51 has been released! »forums.malwarebytes.org/ ··· ic=85992
This version features a lot of new functionality that we are very excited about, including a fully-functional trial of the PRO version. We hope you will like it too! We would like to thank our partners and beta-testers for helping us test the release.
DOWNLOAD: (see forum announcement for link )
Alternatively, you may also click the Check for Updates button on the Update tab of the software.
Some highlights of the new release include: • A 14-day trial of the PRO version is now available. When the program first starts, click Start Trial to see for yourself. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware PRO protects your system in realtime, smoothly and efficiently with the full power of Malwarebytes technology. Our free scanner is great, we hope you'll agree, but it does not protect you in realtime. If you've had to use our free version one too many times to clean up after a bad infection, please consider giving our PRO version a try.
• The Protection Module (PRO only) now notifies you when a new program update is available, so you can schedule updates and forget about it -- let Malwarebytes protect you behind the scenes. Just choose "Notify me when a program update is ready for installation" in the Settings > Updater Settings tab.
• All program settings in HKCU can now be set in HKLM, for our corporate users and system administrators who would like to deploy machine-wide and system-wide settings.
• The Scheduler (PRO only) now has an Edit button so you can edit existing scheduled scans and updates.
• The Updater has been rewritten to be more streamlined, efficient, and robust.
• The Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Protection Module (PRO only) is now lighter-weight than ever. An issue in 1.50.1 with high I/O read bytes has been addressed.
Please see here for the full change log.
1.51 beta testers, you will have to fully uninstall the 1.51 beta before you reinstall the 1.51 stock builds. We apologize for the inconvenience. An ordinary uninstallation followed by reinstallation should suffice. If you encounter any issues please download this utility, run it, allow it to uninstall the 1.51 beta version, and reboot. Then, please reinstall 1.51 stock from the link at the top of this post. Note: you will have to re-enter your license information if you use the clean utility.

The announcement thread does not point to the freeware installer, chachazz , unless one fetches the new version via the internal update feature (which offers a pro trial) which I declined, others that cannot or do not know how to enable the auto-update feature may use any of the download mirror sites. They may not have the current version, check the build number against what is posted on the subject here. Without further adieu: » www.malwarebytes.org/pro ··· tes_free-- siljaline

We appear to have somewhat of a duplication of effort, chachazz , I for one am not interested in the Pro Trial. Some have expressed concern that this option is in the update at all. If I wanted a trial of the Pro version I would have obtained it a long way back, but that's just me As for the freeware links, yes - we posted the same | similar. |

Do these new versions use the old serial codes? I bought this a year or so ago. it would take the browser[firefox] about 7 minutes to start up, I couldn't figure out how to revert it to the free version and ultimately had to uninstall it to restore my system to an acceptable speed.attempting to install newer versions just resulted in a install loop. -- You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. |

Thanks for the heads up. I got my update through the internal updater and wasn't offered anything but did have to reboot. Of course, I already use the Pro version, so it makes sense that I didn't see anything beyond a normal update...more or less. I don't recall having to reboot before. Scratches head. |

What was it that you used for you to know you had the arking.exe virus, and are you sure it was (MBAM) Malwarebytes' and not malware-bytes that gave you this virus. Re: Malwarebytes ' Anti-Malware Program Update 1.51For those using the MBAM sig at boards, you might want to have a look to were it's pointing. Anyone wanting the new BBCode, message me as it may not be suitable for here. |
