Get WAN IP from DSL modem
I have a Q1000 dsl modem. I put my Vonage ATA on its DMZ. The DMZ menu of Q1000 says this . "DMZ hosting enables a LAN device to use the modem WAN IP address as its own. DMZ places the LAN device outside the firewall". However, the Vonage ATA still get the private IP from Q1000. Any idea how I can make Q1000 give the public IP to the Vonage ATA ? Thanks.

The only way to have the WAN IP used within your LAN is to put the Q1000 in bridge mode and have the device using the WAN IP do PPPoE authentication.
I don't know if your Vonage ATA can do PPPoE, but if it can then that should work for you.
