kudos:5 | Spotters reporting another funnel cloud in Worcester moving east along route 9 (ish). This is crazy stuff for Massachusetts... we're having some big thunder here but only occasionally. The main part of the storm is a good 20-30 miles west of me.
They're showing pics of another possible funnel cloud in New Hampshire... didn't catch what town. |

I'm out near Umass, I actually was in the Umass Amherst library working at the time. They evacuated us all to the basement, they had alarms blaring all over campus, sent us text messages and emailed us.
It was pretty scary! but campus and the immediate area around me came out relatively unscathed as far as I can tell. |

Tornado touchdowns in 5 or 6 places in western & central MA. Downtown Springfield was one place. North Oxford, next door to Worcester confirmed tornado. South Worcester got lots of rain & wind. Just some rain in my Worcester neighborhood. |

Worcester, MA | One of the Sturbridge ones blew by right across the street from my boss. He verified that they do indeed sound like freight trains.
