Rockets officially hire Kevin McHale

See: »sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/stor ··· =6616341

Or just read The Chronicle sports section any day from the past week. I have two favorite teams in the NBA:
1. Boston Celtics
2. Houston Rockets
So this is sort of a win-win thing as far as I'm concerned. Any thoughts?

hey.. it beats talking about the astros or the impending football strike

I'll take a wait-and-see approach to McHale as a head coach. Being a Houston sports fan, one learns to temper their enthusiasm when things like this happen, if you know what I mean. I wish him the best.

I, too, was always a big Celtics fan, all the way back to the dynasty years of Red Auerbach and Bill Russell. I'm still a big fan of the Celtics.

Well sadly we have almost trade marked disappointing seasons on our Rockets, Texans and Astros teams so I will also take a wait and see approach. On a side note I love our local sports teams but its been tough to watch last few years and I gave up on the Astros after the blowing out of the World Series and I haven't missed much from what I've heard.
