[Modding] What are your favorite customizations?

What are some modifications/customizations people here make when they build their own rigs? I am looking to improve on cable management, maybe add some sound dampening material, and maybe add some red LEDs to my rig.

As I am still really on my first homebuilt rig, I thought I'd turn to those here who have been around the block a few more times.

If you want to see a very serious mod, check out this Tron case over at Tom's: »www.tomshardware.com/forum/30206···se-build

I used to go all out, building custom water cooling setups, lighting, etc. But you can buy everything off the shelf now. So it's lost a lot of appeal for me.

Lately my most important "mods" have just been under volting the fans. I've found the lights and other flashy stuff doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as not knowing the computer is there.

I just put in an order over at FrozenCPU for some accessories to clean up the interior of my HAF 922. I got one of their Supreme System Sleeving Kits, HD anti-vibration grommets, extra SATA cables, and exterior magnetic fan filters.

Back when I was in the LAN scene, I took it pretty seriously.

I barely get enough cash to support my photography hobby, let alone mod my computer. Growing up kind of sucks.

That being said, I've never given two rips about noise from my computer(s). They're generally on 24/7 and I don't notice. So my mods were always "make it look awesome." To that effect, when I was in HS, I was in a class that was kind of a design/3d modeling/etc class. We had a vinyl cutter & a 3D printer (that thing was awesome). I convinced my teacher to let me cut out a vinyl pattern that had the logo for the counter-strike community I ran with.

Can't find any I still have it on the side of my huge steel case that doubles as a chair, but it's got a LOT of thin pieces and I haven't been gentle with it these past 8 years.
