Lose s/n when rains

Click for full size
Hello above is the splice encloses across the street from my house, my drop comes from the one on the right.Looking at the left end of the splice on the right shows the end cap is off and water runs into it, when I ask my line to be checked they say looks great at there end, so why when it rains does my s/n go below 6 and I have intermediate service?
thank you
Bruce

I've been having the same issue for the past few months. Every time it rains my ping goes from 25ms to 200ms and about 5-10% loss. I called GWI and they reset my modem and I reset it too and nothing improved.

How can I check the signal on my end? Westell 2100 or 2200 modem

My advice is to take pic. of your outside plant, I believe if all the people start doing this, then something will be done. But perhaps we can not embarrass then that much, they would have to care about the service for that to work.

Hello Thank you for taking an interest, and in fact someone(I think it might have been you) as I have mention many times in the past to every gwi person who I speak with that I am 90% deaf and to please not to call but send email.

So calling me has no value, you indicate above you would like to speak with me,May I ask why? the pictures, the s/n and other posting have been all the info I know. I would think that the picture of the splice closers would say it all. Now let me guess You can do Nadu and I should speak to fairpoint, O they say I do not have an account with them so call gwi. and it just goes round and round.

The lines outside are maintained by Fairpoint but we would not ask you to call Fairpoint as you are our customer. I have opened a ticket asking them to look at the splice enclosure. I will send you an email when the ticket is complete. Thank you!

Thank you for your effort, but I believe fairpoint will not even send a person to the pole, they will send the ticket back ntf and the ticket will be closed.hell they just dropped the network interface and protector on the ground never attaching it the the house at all.
I do not believe from conversations with them, that I am not they account and therefore not there problem. I will put a web cam aimed at the pole and we will see if they even come .

Good morning Erick

Thanks for the interest, 1st let me say your installer has a great deal of pride in his work and did an excellent job, very good person. second let me say that the end cap is still open the fairpoint person said there was a internal seal and to him there was no reason to reconnect the end cap so he just left it, so I will now sent the pictures and the documents that I have tried everything and fairpoint refuses to repair there plant.( on a side not that closure was disconnected 35 years ago, sense the 70's Verizon used AMP and semen's, the closure is listed in handbook 1,30 and 80, section 100 in all three there is no rain protector in it.
As to your post Just to reassured you that I was going to post that you came ,but you beat me to it instead of an email odd.I will give you an opinion of the improvements Monday or so ,let it rain and the closure fill up and see if it is fixed,

It appears a new pair was swamped out yet the last time I asked for it to be checked I was told it was Perfect,0dd.

But thank you for everything you and gwi has done to provide me with service,It is very apparent you care about your subscribers,I wish fairpoint would live up to basic service but for now Gwi does everything to keep me on line so again a big thinks.
