ATT Uverse vs AT&T iPhone: SpeedTest Inconsistent?

Out of curiosity tonight, I performed two connection tests with SpeedTest on my iPhone.

The first SpeedTest I was directly to my UVerse WiFi router (top photo), and the second test connected to my cell phone carrier's 3G (bottom photo). My iPhone provider is AT&T.

Whenever connected to 3G on my iPhone, I always get excellent web and application speeds and good service bar signal strength.

However, for some reason, I get consistently lousy download speeds whenever performing SpeedTest on 3G. The tests with 3G are always poor, rarely ever above 2 or 2.5Mbps. What gives?

I see that no one seems to have an answer to this, which is the situation I'm in and the exact point I am trying to make.

While SpeedTest seems to be a great test for LAN connections I'm not sure how relevant it is with WLAN connections. I've also had different results just by using different browsers or apps when conducting the test.

Typical AT&T 3G speeds are about 1400/773. I'm in Danbury and see about 1100/1000. »www.pcworld.com/article/189592/a···est.html

If you are connected via WiFi then your speeds and ping should reflect those of your U-Verse connection.

Not sure of what issue you are trying to solve. Seems normal to me.

For me here (using Comcast) I see about 22000/8000 on WiFi with bursts of 70000/9000. On 3G with AT&T I see about 1100/1000.

I greatly appreciate the reply; just surprised SpeedTest app is the only app on my phone that seems to have slow speed when connected to 3G according to the download numbers. Everything else seems zippy, although I know eventually it with be 4G time.

For screenshot you must press two buttons at the same time:

Hold down the "Home" button (only button on the front of the iPhone)

and then quickly press the power button (upper right button on top of the iPhone).

Then let go of both and you will see the screen flash white. It will add the photo to your Camera Roll and you can e-mail/MMS from
there.

I do the same thing on my G5 by pressing SHIFT + ⌘ + 3 for a full screenshot and SHIFT + ⌘ + 4 for selective screenshot (drag and then click to take picture of the area you selected).
