[DIRECTV] Going from a two to three port splitter

Right now I have two HD DirecTv receivers. The way it was installed by DirecTv was that the single coax from the dish goes into a 2 way 1500 mHz splitter and the two outputs each go to HD receivers. There is no multicoupler, just the splitter with one port a power pass. I wish to add my third HD receiver to the mix. Can I simply replace the two port splitter with a 3 port one?

FYI,

Big difference between a "splitter" and a "multiswitch." Glad you got it work out though.
