Teleblend Billing Ripoff

Has anyone else noticed an increase in taxes and surcharges? The Emergency Service Fee and the USF Compliance Fee both went up again, by >30% this month. Now the total surcharges are ~$6.50.

Furthermore, has anyone noticed how their auto-billing is charging your credit card earlier and earlier each billing cycle? My billing statement date is on the 18th of each month; I list the trajectory of the actual payment date (the date they charge my credit card, which has to be on auto payment) below. At this rate, are they hoping to charge me an entire month more eventually?

... on the 18th every month prior

Are they so desperate for cash? Are they about to fold like Sunrocket did? I am reporting the illegal increase in fees and these unethical billing practices to the authorities. Teleblend, SHAME ON YOU!!!

indeed, i noticed it last month about the insane surcharge. they did not send out notification about the change etc. I also felt it's a ripoff too. It's shady.

will think about switching to another provider.

Yes, I'm seeing the same exact things regarding the dates. Note that the due date of the bill is not advancing. So you could say that their billing department is just becoming more efficient :-P

My charge date is 16 days ahead of the due date. I don't have anything other auto-billed accounts so I don't know if this is typical. Does anyone else have auto-billed accounts from other services?

Yes, I believe the Emergency Service Fee and USF Compliance Fee is entirely under the control of the company. Unless they explain why their fees are increasing, we can assume it is simply a way to increase profit.

We should ask them for an explanation. If this doesn't work, we should post these observations to their facebook wall. I hesitate to just dump the service unless I can first identify a cheaper one that works as well.

yes.. i have noticed it as well.. not only that.. they have charged my card FOUR (4) times between May 18th and June 30th!!!!

they've also billed me for overseas calls that never went through.. they claim calls were made to the same number 3 to 4 times in a single minute... they acknowledge the error.. but only offer to give a $5 credit per month when the double and triple charges are in excess of $20.
