 | Gary, suggestion, maybe 'we' could just have a PADAVAN thread only? We'd post to it when there is something pertaining to the flash, good, bad, or just a new release rather than intermingling it here? -- Irv Spalten |

Tim34CA join:2012-02-28 Taft, CA kudos:1 | Gary I'm thinking about buying a ASUS RT-N56U , I know you love this model. Wanting to replace my old Dlink DIR-655 that's used as a second wired Router. Is this where everyone gets the padavan firmware at ? »code.google.com/p/rt-n56u/ Is the RT-N56U better then a dlink DIR-655 in a hard wired environment ? -- Taft CA Bright House Customer Since 2003 Lightning 60/5 Motorola SB6141 |

Tim34CA join:2012-02-28 Taft, CA kudos:1 | Ok My new ASUS RT-N56U is all connected so far i updated to the latest padavan firmware and configured everything the way I like. a Few things I need to ask you, in the LAN>Ethernet Switch I have Disabled "Green Ethernet" when ever I see "green" or "power save" I think of Slow performance , I want everything fast. Was that good to Disable Green Ethernet ? One last thing I see no QOS settings In the Menu , I liked to Keep QOS disabled. Where is the QOS in the menu in the GUI. Got my beast Lightning 60/5 Motorola SB6141 Connected to my beast Router RT-N66U in charge of wifi devices, and my VOIP phone adapter, then I have a LAN cord running to my Bedroom Thats connected to my new RT-N56U , and i got My bedroom computer hooked up to it and my brothers bedroom computer hooked up to it , then I have my LG blu ray player that streams netflix hooked up to it. All the important devices are connected with CAT 6 LAN Cords. Speeds look good.
