[Connectivity] Arris modem - all green except LINK is flashing O

My service has been great for about a week and then today my modem has reset 4 times.

Since the day I got it and self-installed the "link" LED has flashed orange. All of the other LEDs are solid green.

A chat with Comcast support got me an appointment a week from now to get a new modem - which is fine, I suppose - but I don't really know anything about what is wrong. The tech said he could not "see" my modem to be able to test it.

Any thoughts? Otherwise my service - voice and internet - seems to work fine - until it resets.

Re: [Connectivity] Arris modem - all green except LINK is flashi

According to the User Manuel the link light will flash when ever there is traffic on the Ethernet port, so this is normal.

Yes, but isn't it supposed to be a green link LED? At least that's what I thought I saw in another posting I read.

Sorry, I don't have a manual... at least not that I saw/kept.

Being an orange link LED, what does that mean?

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if I have some kind of inside wiring issue that I need to deal with so that I don't get charged. Maybe a line filter or something I need to hunt down?

Thanks for the help!

It indicates the connected ethernet type Yellow/orange=10/100 Ethernet, Green= Gigabit Ethernet.

For some reason, my tm722g used to have an orange light but one day it turned green...so all my lights are green now with one green light flashing.

OKay... that makes sense. I just wondered about my inside wiring since the tech couldn't "see" the modem. Seems strange to me.

Thanks, all, for the help!
