Re: Time Warner Cable Wideband Internet Coming To Columbia, SC

I read that some people already got this in Elgin. Is the fact that I am in an apartment building going to change my being able to get faster speeds? As much as I hate Time Warner they are my only option and the 40k upload speeds are just brutal.

I would say for sure it's available where you live at.. if you want it just call TWC and ask for either extreme or wideband and extreme is $54 and wideband is $100.

Hrmmm...somehow I'm not sure about that pricing.

Currently, I'm paying 47.95 for the Turbo...

I'm in Elgin and have had it for nearly 2 months now.

And yes being in an apartment could limit what is available to you. You simply need to call and ask. They need to check if your hub can support the higher speeds.

Figured out it was the new firmware on my router that caused the issue. On the new linksys firmware "port range forwarding" NOW requires the firewall to be turned on...
