[COLORADO] Mountain Hiking

The summer mountain hiking season has started. I for one love hiking 14ers, and it is my goal to do as many as possible (including 13ers). It's still a bit snowy above 12,000ft, but snowshoes are not needed (but the occasional post-holing does happen).

I hiking Mount Sherman (near Fairplay, CO in Park County) last Monday and today I hiked Mount Evans and Spalding (no, I did NOT drive to the top).

Attached are pics from my Mount Sherman hike. The third pic is the condition of the road that I had to drive on to get to the mountain. 15mph was too fast on that road!

Very cool. I'll be starting my 14'er climbs in July. I've been to the top of Pikes Peak (drove it) but have yet to climb it.
