Huntsville, AL Speed Boost?

I am consistently measuring 30Mbps download speed tests of late. Did we get a download cap bump recently?

don't know, but i'm taking full advantage of the speeds.

if we did get a speed boost, i haven't checked the speedtest website to see if i did get a boost in Columbus.

I'm certain Knology employs some form of speedboost. I routinely see 5-20Mbps over my rated 12/2 on speedtests. Months before the 3.0 upgrade, my speeds with Knology were a solid 6.5/380, never higher.

When I'm on my laptops, if I switch over to one of my neighbor's open hotspots that have Mediacom or AT&T, those speed tests are constant, no variable ( *UP TO* and often slower than 11Mbps on Mediacom, 5.5Mbps solid on AT&T).

Downloads from sites that can actually support my connection speed, peak @ 1.5-1.6MB/s, and slow to a solid 1.1-1.3MB/s.

I'm a very happy customer. Knology is once again the top ISP in Columbus, by far.

It looks like Knology has a speed boost in place. I get a speed boost on my downloads for about 30 secs. It goes up to about 20mbits then slowly goes down to my regular download speed which is 12mbit.
