Gee bobrk don't you folks call it "The 680" and "The Montague"?

You are correct. The only freeways ever referred to by name are "The Bayshore" and "The Nimitz." Everything else is numbers. The other freeways have names, but they are memorial in nature and not directional like the LA ones are.
