Readers of Tom Clancy know...

Several years ago, he wrote "The sum of all fears" which outlined how terrorists got ahold of an inactive nuclear bomb and then blew it up at the Superbowl.

At the end of the book, the author(Tom Clancy) wrote about how he telephoned government nuclear testing facilities and inquired about nuclear bomb technology. The government Fed-Ex'ed the information to him a few days later.

He even had to purposely omit information while writing the book, because he had all the information right in front of him.

Why are we just now thinking of national security?
