Re: IPv6 is too hard said by timcuth: it sounds like the current router is doing what it is supposed to do. That is my impression of your test results. However it would be nice to verify that with a known good IPv6 client. Any chance to borrow an IPv6 enabled laptop from a friend or coworker ? -- Got some spare cpu cycles ? I dont blame you........ This whole IPv6 thing may cause alot of problems! |

If you decide to use a pfSense gateway, let me know. I can "hook you up." |

If you used VLAN tagging you can get away with one NIC most likely in 1.2.3 though it might not like that. 2.0 would probably require VLAN tagging to properly route traffic with only one NIC. I also run pfsense since 1.2.1 and currently run 2.0 in most places now even though it's an RC still. |

Tim It does.
Untangled is a great distro, but it's more of a transparent distro. It requires two NICs also. |

When you say "more transparent", what do you mean by that?

Tim It's main purpose is to sit in between your firewall and your network, filtering traffic transparently. The routing function was a secondary feature that was added later. |
