Modem rebooted on its own on 11/8/11 and now all lights are green on TM722G. Located in Alvin, TX. Weird that it says Upstream 1 and 4...

Speed Test Results
Upstream Channel Bonding in Minnesota!

I have Blast! Yesterday the speed test results would have been 30 / 2.5.

(A year ago I was getting 61 / 15)

SMC D3GNV
Somehow, my leased D3GNV is no longer in bridge modem, so I was able to check the diagnostics and found a 2nd upstream has been added recently.

Upstream Channel Bonding

Just got upstream channel bonding today (02-06-2012) in Springfield, MA. I upgraded to Extreme 50 a couple of months ago but I had to post in the direct forum because I was not getting the Extreme 50 speeds. After they pushed the Extreme 50 configuration file, I got upstream channel bonding.

It appears that only the customers on the higher tiers (50 and 105) get the upstream channel bonding.

It depends on the CMTS in use in your area. On an Arris C4 CMTS (which I understand is the most common) every tier will recieve bonding -- but other CMTSes may be configured to only enable bonding for those on Extreme tiers.

1) CA
2) Folsom
3) A welcomed change, although currently at my specific tier level, it is not making a difference.

Looks like I got it in Roseville, CA as well.

Surprised it took so long actually since the north bay has had it almost a year now. Hopefully this means faster upstream speeds are not far behind. I've been thinking about switching to Surewest 15/15 fiber once they install it on our street in place of Comcast Blast tier(25/4-30/5) I'm on now particularly for the extra upload speed but this might convince me to stick around a bit longer :D

* edit I did a little more investigating to see if speeds were any different and I noticed a slight drop in ping times using the line quality / ping test tool on this site. Went from upper 80s to lower 80s avg. Was expecting a slightly bigger improvement.

The downside is shaper probe now shows I'm no longer getting the 5mbps upstream I was getting before. Now shows being shaped at around 4400kbps instead of 5100kbps consistently :(
EX:
DiffProbe beta release. October 2009.
Shaper Detection Module.

Connected to server 74.63.50.34.

Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 5829 Kbps.
Downstream: 35851 Kbps.

The measurement will last for about 2.5 minutes. Please wait.

Checking for traffic shapers:

Upstream: Burst size: 8571-8621 KB; Shaping rate: 4480 Kbps.

Downstream: Burst size: 9153-9293 KB; Shaping rate: 31322 Kbps.

Cool, we just have 2 channels on the upstream here in the Ukiah area (Mendocino County), 4 on the downstream.

This morning I noticed that my Moto SB6121 modem had rebooted itself overnight, and I now had upstream channel bonding, with 2 new upstream channels added to the original, 36.2 MHz one. The modem's upstream indicator LED is now blue, like the downstream one.

So it looks like upstream channel bonding has now arrived in Monmouth County, NJ.

I agree with mustang50. What's the point of copy/pasting something like that into this thread if you're not going to tell us where you are located?
