 | 100% Packet Loss at AT&T Nodes... While trying to connect to a game server I have been having troubles with I have 100% packet loss at the following AT&T nodes.... When is this expected to be fixed??? It can't possibly be on my end can it? It's been happening for a week straight now. This makes the game totally unplayable?

| You only have 13% packet loss at the destination; the 100% packet loss at the AT&T routers is likely the routers programmed to not respond to trace route packets. There may be nothing to fix at the AT&T routers. There may be congestion beyond the AT&T transit network. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

FrohikePremium join:2000-07-23 Waxahachie, TX kudos:4 | reply to venom88 Yes its just the ATT routers set not to respond to pings. If it was 100% because routers were down, then there would be no pathway beyond the routers.
Since the pathway reaches the end, then the packets are being passed along. |

 | reply to venom88 Wow Latency issues - help Me and a bunch of other wow players have been having major latency issues since last tuesday. It looks like it is AT&T routers as that is the common thread in all the tracerts ive seen from many players.
FYI - I made double sure it's not my equipment and lines. My cable company sent a specialist out ( I used to work for them until recently for a long time) We replaced all lines, replaced modem, router, ends, amp, power supplies etc etc. - Same result) We tested amd monitored my conn for hours as well. Everything hard-wired. All was good locally.
This is also happening on wife's wow as well. Same lag spikes at same time i get them
Am I on the right track with what I am thinking is the culprit (traffic issues with AT&T routers) Blizz refuses to respond.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

| Ah. The Blizzard issue. First, this forum is for customers using AT&T ADSL in the Northeast region. AT&T is also a provider for commercial outfits, such as Blizzard, but the folks here generally won't be able to help with the AT&T Tier 1 backbone.
Second, Blizzard appears to be a customer of AT&T, and the evidence suggests Blizzard does not order sufficient capacity from AT&T. That would be on Blizzard, not AT&T. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |
