Bandwidth Meter out

The bandwidth meter has been out for two days. Does this mean these days will not count towards our month.

Another question, because of summer I am using more bandwidth. Can I upgrade during the middle of the month?

You're thinking of Cogeco the as a business that cares about its users. So, the logical answer is yes, of course they'll count!

Don't rely on Cogeco's meter. Ever. It's not accurate. You should be monitoring your usage at your router.

You can upgrade in the middle of a billing period I believe, they'll just pro-rate it on your next invoice.

Still down a few days later.

The Steam Summer Sale is really going to hit the wallet hard. 15 GB for Borderlands, 10GB for Oblivion and 10GB for TF2. Three games and most people are almost at their limit.

Yep, Steam sale is hurting here too. I grabbed Left 4 Dead 1/2 when it was on sale for $7.50 combined and it was almost 20GB.

Apparently not. The Cogeco site says the days of the outage will not be counted.

Too bad I didn't know that in advance! Been putting together new systems, lots of downloading but that's been since the 7th.

Nice, I got some wicked torrents last week and now they don't count on my usage!

I rarely go even close to my cap, but that's a nice bonus.

Oh steam summer sales. Most of my games I bought during steam sales I still haven't downloaded because of the silly 60GB cap.
I did manage to download a few small games during the outage. Was worried they would still count so i didn't want to go nuts and download a lot.

For those on steam, feel free to add me. Always nice to play with some locals

This is how Cogeco should've been doing meter outages from the start. Glad they switched, nice to actually be able to say something positive about Cogeco again.
