 | android weather app? I was wondering if you could offer your thoughts and suggestions on a great weather app for the android cell phone? |

 | WeatherBug is the one we all use. It has issues with connectivity occasionally for some reason but, according to the reviews, it seems to be the one with the most info and fewest problems but I get the impression all of them have issues. |

| reply to rgsdsdfhsdfg Another vote for Weatherbug...
But their alerts are a little slow... Last tornado warning I received about 10 minutes after it expired.
For radar, there is just no beating PYKL3 Radar. -- I'm tired of killing stupid people just trying to do my job and go home! |

 | reply to rgsdsdfhsdfg I must have made a major error, resulting in two new threads... I'm sorry, I didnt mean to create the new threads. Maybe BBR can just delete those threads completely?
Here is what I said in those threads which I meant to say here:

Hello Howardfine,
I have downloaded weatherbug elite and also pykl3 radar. I will play with these for a while.
If anyone has more suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Thank you Howard and Burner.
I got weather bug elite, and Pykl3.
There is a lot of promise with Pykl. He wants to do so much with it once mobile technology advances a little bit.
I found out that Pkyl (which sells for $9) uses the same data as GR Level 3 (which sells for $80) |

The latest test files that he has produced are really moving the project forward with allisonhouse integration, smoothing, and a few other things that will solve some problems on a few phones. -- I'm tired of killing stupid people just trying to do my job and go home! |

 | reply to rgsdsdfhsdfg what about a free app other than weatherbug? I used radar now for a while and it was niice but could not zoom into major detail. |

I would vote for Weather bug toO but only if you have a device with big APp storage.... it is both storage and resource rater INTENSIVE.
If you really want the truth just book mark local NWS/NOAH and maybe Navy if local to you.... if you can undestand weather without being WX Channal sensational frightened you will find truth in those places.
For me in KW, the Cat 5 NWS station is two blocks down the street...hard to get a more local forecast than that.... but we also have the Navy/Coast Guard here I will also look at.
And take all things into consideration but Weather Channel and CNN or FOX anything but News DEAD LAST for truth, they are both just sensational scare them to death ratings BS. Again, in Katrina wish more had looked directly at NWS and the military rather than the BS media, but again never supposed to come here but did.
No that was actual FOR REAL and forget the NO after the fact but what it did to the rest of the Gulf Coast... again if they had looked to the TRUTH sources vs the BS media ones maybe taken more seriously. Doubt many did
Believe me NAVY an CG are looking at and protecting resources, they are heading out to sea to ride it out something maybe you should take seriously no matter what the scare you to death media is.... maybe not death but to be taken seriously and not just a BS hurricane party. It takes a lot of energy and effort to get those mega tons ships out to sea for no other mission reason. They are heading out to sea to ride it out something very serious Commander does not decide easily, something bad is maybe likely about to happen.
Not always has been borne out but again I take that far more seriously than anything I hear from WX CH, CNN, FOX, etc.... go to people that really know the sources not the BS.
Again I will take that over WX CH or CNN anyday.
