 | . I've come to terms with Verizon wanting me to charge my phone while I tether or pay them . So I have been using PDANet for years. |

 | However it's much easier to eat up 2GB when you use as hotspot and they'll charge $10/GB after 2GB. VZW will rip you one way or another... unless you're both grandfathered and rooted - for now. |

Yeah you can't get it through the market anymore, but you can go directly to their website and get the software for your PC, which will install the software on your smartphone during the installation process, so you can still get it

Re: Mornonic.... said by danclan:this is why people root their phones...to add back what should be there for free to begin with See I can agree with a cap on tethering due to the fact that obviously you're going to use your PC to pull way more data than you would your device. But since it's LTE and it more efficiently uses the spectrum, my caps wouldn't be less than 15GB, and after you pass the cap you'd be throttled not hit with overages, and if you wanted a higher cap you'd pay a higher data fee, but tethering would be free.

If you tried, it re-directed the phone's browser (or was only any clients?) to a VZW website and even if you turned off tethering, it req'd a reboot to 'reset' that. |

I just checked on my Sprint EVO and PDANet is there. |

I'm going to say yes only because I don't have an AT&T phone, but seeing how AT&T is bigger about blocking certain things than Verizon (so far) it wouldn't surprise me, either way that's still how I suggest that people download and install the app to their device, and of course making sure first that you don't have a cap to exceed or etc before use.
