I was running on 146.495 on NXDN and got my first angry ham that was accusing me of malicious interference (Frequency was vacant when we started using it)...

It's another digital mode, the protocol is different. I don't think any scanners will pick it up yet. I saw a note that said it wasn't approved in the US yet. Personally as far as I'm concerned if they allow Dstar then NXDN is just a legal. |

Nxdn is legal. As fast as it being different from p25, nxdn is super narrowband capable and I've been heating reports that the audio quality is super to p25.
Yes I know that p25 phase two is super narrow capable, but there less than ten deployments nationwide.
Iprefer kenwood to motorola due to price and features.
