Eastlink 40 to be downgrading to 100 GB PER MONTH

On Eastlink's new website, Eastlink is now adverting ..."Monthly Usage: 100 GB/Month3, equivalent to;"... in Nova Scotia.
100 mbps is unaffected, it still shows 250 GB.

It appears to not have taken effect yet, or does not effect old customers (highly doubtful):
quote:
Internet Service: Internet 40
Total monthly usage ending July 11, 2011
.....
Usage Plan: 250.00 GB

If this does end up going to 100 GB, I guess it's back to 20 Unlimited bw will be good again!

Wow 40 Megabit and a 100GB limit, geeze Eastlink sure is shooting themselves in the foot. 100GB, and that's incoming and outgoing combined.

At this rate, might as well hop on the Aliant fiber to the home when it rolls out in my area. 70/30 and they don't enforce their 250GB cap.

Eastlink is getting very greedy!

Eastlink messed up on their packages. Don't know what provinces this affected but for Nova Scotia their 40 Megabit package showed up as 100GB.

Brought this to the attention of Eastlink who seemingly didn't believe me or that I was visiting the wrong province. Asked me for the url I was visiting and I provided a screenshot. Checked now and it reflects a 250GB cap.
