My collection of tomatoes, routers, and Tomato routers!

Click for full size
In this photo: my ASUS RT-N16 with Tomato USB VPN build, my ASUS WL-520gU with Tomato USB Standard build, my Milwaukee 5616-29 2.25 horsepower router that is the colour of a tomato, and finally, an actual tomato.

Is that a Photoshop or an actual picture?

If that's an actual untouched picture, can we see your photography (lighting) setup?

Edit: Nevermind, Adobe Photoshop CS5 it says in image properties.

The router and the Router would make a nice Reuter story.

Why couldn't a regular picture say Adobe Photoshop in the EXIF data?

I did a very minor amount of post processing to lighten the background. I also increased the saturation by 5 and the contrast by 25. I didn't take a picture of the lighting setup, but I can describe it. Simply, the items were placed inside a light tent with a 250W Lowel Pro Light on each side, the one on the left slightly higher than the one on the right.

I've always found taking a picture of something white (such as the ASUS routers) on a white background to be challenging, but perhaps my results could be improved with a light table, which I don't have. Or if anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate it.

Haha nice. I will concede that Tomato wins over dd-wrt in the 'ease of creative photography' department!

I was skeptical due to the fact that there is no camera information at all in the EXIF data. Normally the camera model, shutter speed, aperture, etc remains.

Finally a router with good throughput and will not bog down under heavy use or overheat.

are you sure?
I have already thought of what could be some "creative photography" with the DD-wrt

would Reuter's run a Router/router story before reporting on a riveting Roto-Rooter record?

"Yeah, tech support? I have a tomato router that will not pull an IP address...."
