Wireless and wireline ARE split. ATT Mobility, LLC and ATT, Inc. Those are TWO different companies. The only thing they share is a brand and a trading symbol.

VZW and VZ are even more separate than T though.

Not 100% correct, both are still held by the same holding company AT&T Teleholdings, Inc, thus why there is no AT&T Mobility stock ticker.
