1 edit | it's a lost season, but the M's did set a record! It's the 10th anniversary of their best season, and I figured they may have gotten their mojo back when they pulled only a half game behind the Rangers. Turned out, that was just a fluke and they just proved beyond any doubt they're still the usual M's, the perennial losers. But despair not, this year will still be a record setting year as they just set a new team record for consecutive losses, and they could continue to better it with each and every loss from now on!! Given that the next series is against the Yanks, their streak may continue unabated!
Note: there is of course a non-zero possibility that they will beat them and the streak is over, but I think the odds are not in the M's favor.
Edit: cant spelll |

 | My dad religiously watches the games. I swear the with each loss the temperature in the room goes up due to high blood pressure. Atleast football is coming up, hopefully the Hawks don't suck as bad as the Mariners. -- It is true that liberty is precious, but is it so precious it must be rationed? |

| The way the M's are playing he may need some medication soon.... quote: Mariners lose 17th straight, striking out 18 times
The Mariners are four shy of matching the Baltimore Orioles American League-record 21-game losing streak to start the 1988 season. The 1961 Phillies dropped 23 straight for the modern major league mark.
I'd say the records are now within striking distance. -- Bachmann 2012! |

| I guess their shot at the other records were striked out.... "Mariners win, end 17-game skid with 9-2 victory" -- apparently, Felix never lost in the Bronx. -- Bachmann 2012! |
