| H & H Paving & Sealcoating, Naperville I know this is a long-shot but thought I'd ask. Does anyone know anyone or are you familiar with this company?
There really isn't much online about them. I can't find a website. But they were doing a driveway a few doors down from me today so I walked over and talked to them. I got the usual "if you can do it today" price but told them no. They were doing another drive around the block from me as well. They have real trucks with graphics and signs and all so They really look legit. Hoke, is the guys name and they claim to be in business for 18 years.
If I didn't actually see them doing the work and they had approached me I wouldn't even be asking. But he's willing to do what he says is a $4k job for $2500. Of course this makes me skeptical. I don't know what the cost to is to blacktop a driveway.
Did you get your driveway done? How much and by who? They would actually be widening mine by about 3 feet which is another thing that I worry about. |

| said by Parneli:Jon what happened with the driveway? Nothing. Even if they were legit, I tried and couldn't come up with the money. It'll have to wait. When I'm ready I'll give them another call and get a few other quotes as well. |

I'll be widening it over areas that a currently grass so I'm not sure what will need to be done. Never really got that far. There was no point when I realized there was no money for it anyway. |

It's the tamping that's really important in my opinion. |

Finally said F*k it and did it. Had it widened by about 3 ft as well. No I just need to figure out what the hell I'm gonna do with that giant pile of dirt. |
|
 | Looks nice. That dirt pile is nothing, you can always find low spots on your property to fill. Snow blowing should be a lot easier now with that driveway. |

ocnlvr join:2011-12-03 Des Plaines, IL | I called the same company to do my driveway, they came out gave us a great price, we gave them half the money and have seen them only once since. our back yard is now a mud pit. they have not returned any calls as of today. Jon's drive looked great, but they have not finished our job, just left a huge mess. |
|
 | I know nothing about this company, but I do know Asphault plants have got to be closing down, if they haven't already. we've had a nice fall, but usually when it gets to turkey day, that is a sign of plants closing till spring. |
