How do you use a datacenter for Internet access?

It appears alot of companies are now using datacenters for their Internet bandwidth. How exactly is this accomplished considering the datacenter is located in a separate location? Perhaps I'm missing something here.

I think we're all missing something here from your post.

Can you give more details?

You have to backhaul it to your location one way or another. Some people do a wireless link from the DC to their location. Sometime its possible to get a later 2 transport / ptp circuit into a DC from your location, then pick up actual bandwidth in the data center, that may be cheaper than getting bandwidth directly at your location.
