Without knowing the specifics (Belichick never tells!), I'd say it's perfectly reasonable for him to play for a while on Sunday hurt. These guys play hurt all year long. With the bye locked up, he'll have 2 weeks to rest.

Coach hasn't been playing the "Injured List" game this year.
