I played the first socom when it first came out. I became really good at it, was ranked near the top 1000 players. Loved how nice and friendly the community was, such a contrast when compared to counter strike at the time.

Bought a new computer, didn't touch a console game in years.

Bought a PS3 last year. Picked up confrontation. Was pretty glitchy. The community was really bad.

Bought Socom 4 on launch in hopes of a refined version of confrontation. Community is pretty bad still. Game play is really different. So much running and gunning. Way too many players per map. So crowded, no communication. Also really dislike that you have to unlock upgrades. Wish they would bring back more of the classic maps.

I think the feeling of the first socom can never really be found again. The people played have changed gaming styles, the times have changed too much. Plus I can't function with a controller now-a-days, grew too used to mouse and keyboard.

Awwww Socom 1.......home of the tea bag and 15 foot sideways slide. I lost a year of my life playing that game.

I used to fake sickness when my buddies would call on a Saturday Night. Such a great game.

Ill have to check out Socom 4.

Whats up Deja. It has been a long time. Been busy with work. Submarines that go under water limit my ability to do certain things! Got some down time finally....well slower paced.

Going to check out this Socom 4. I think I am Halo'd out.
