Camera in cable box?

I heard about a Comcast plan to put cameras in their cable boxes - "The camera would be capable of recognizing specific individuals and therefore loading a user's favorite channels and on the other hand block certain content as well."

Couldn't this be a privacy invasion and possibly bring legal troubles to Comcast?

But what's said is it in the same place as the the remote control eye, so you can't block it and still use the remote. Any truth to this?
