I've said this all along, AT&T's whine about needing the spectrum is simply a bald-faced lie. They already have the necessary spectrum, if they spent even half the money they're wanting to shell out for T-Mobile on their own infrastructure, they might even come close to having the coverage they advertise. But, that isn't what they want. AT&T is all about dominating the market, getting rid of T-Mobile and then sitting on the spectrum and doing as little as possible with the cash after they sell off pieces of T-Mobile (equipment, real estate, etc.) here and there. AT&T's record is one of lie upon lie, there is no reason to assume otherwise now.

Apple could buy T-Mobile, either paying cash or stock.

That would be sweet....to hear the great sucking sound of customers rushing from ATT and Verizon to iPhones on an expanded T-Mobile....a.k.a. Teh Steve Network.
