Silicon melts at 1400+C... so the CPU would not melt... it won't even throttle till 100C on the cores... kinda lol to say @ 27C more it melts... Nextly shutdown is at... wait for it... 125C on the core... yes that is when the PC will shut down for over temp protection... 127 is hardly "melting point" lol

However it is not good for the CPU.

I also have a i7 2600k and sometimes the value of Max.Temp jumps to 127 C and the CPU Socket Max.Temp also jumps to 127 C while the current temperature value of CPU and Socket both stays at (CPU 60c) and (Socket 36c).
