Reston, VA | [Serious] The Riots Anyone here care to post any thoughts about the recent disturbances in London and elsewhere in England? There's been a hot and heavy discussion about it (unfortunately dominated by Yanks) posted in the Blue Room which most of you who read/post here are probably unaware of (and those Brits who have access to it have likely already posted there).
Yanks (and I have to include myself in this category for this purpose) really don't understand the way things work in the UK. There's a tendency to think that all the English speaking people in the world live in very similar societies and that's just not true as I suspect many of you are far more aware of than 'we' are.
Enough time has now passed that I think anyone who wishes to could now make some coherent comments about what happens and what needs to be done.
Just a thought.
