Actually, according to what I'm seeing, the 4G coverage isn't there precisely for the place I'd be using it most (on Cutter Circle in the Mock's Landing industrial park on Swan Island), and the 3G coverage costs extra, so no, not as cheap (for me). T-Mobile looks like it might have something that works.

And I took the plunge with T-Mobile prepaid mobile broadband. Only my first day using it, but what a difference. Cheaper hardware investment ($130 as opposed to the 150 I paid for the MiFi2200), 4G speeds--Speedtest.net app on my iPod Touch reports over 8 Mbps down/over 2 Mbps up--now that's actually broadband--and 1 GB of data for 30 bucks a month.

I'll see how the speed behaves the rest of the day, but I think I'm in love.

Is there a dedicated forum for T-Mobile's mobile broadband like there is for VM?
