However with diverse POP, each of your circuits terminate on different location or building where each POP could be power fed from different power plant. Depending on how far you want of the redundancy, you could also have redundant muxes and redundant fiber run within your building.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if I get two Metro-E connections from two providers, won't that still be over the same Verizon physical infrastructure and therefore I'm hardly getting any increased redundancy except for the hardware on either end which probably never goes down?
