 | Couple of WNDR3700 questions I have my WNDR3700 v2 connected to my doscsis 3 device which is set in bridge mode. I cloned the ip of my pc and the router connected to the internet fine. I have dhcp for the lan enabled on the router. I was looking at the Attached Devices page and it doesn't show any of the pc's that are connected and none of the wifi devices. Is this normal or should the router show the devices, their ip, and their mac address? Is there any way to resolve the issue of netflix constantly retreiving when streaming to wireless devices? Also what are the recommended security settings on the router: Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection (currently not checked) Respond to Ping on Internet Port (currently not checked) NAT Filtering Secured is checked instead of open Disable SIP ALG (currently not checked) |

Respond to Ping on Internet Port (checked) I checked/enabled Ping to use some of the tools on this site that need Ping to work fully. Some people would disable it. I'm OK with it. Your call. NAT Filtering (Secured is checked instead of open) Secured it better. If you are having problems with games or other live applications try open otherwise leave it secured. Disable SIP ALG (checked) If you use VOIP (which I do) you need to check/disable this. -- Craig »www.CraigHarris.org My BLOG on Motorcycles and Computer Stuff. |

| I originally had a WNDR3700v1, which frequently had the problem that all attached devices would disappear. Sounds like what you're experiencing. That router got replaced by a v2 which came with 1.0.0.8 and I had problems of some devices disappearing, but not as bad as the v1. I upgraded to 1.0.0.10, and it ws the same so I and reported it to netgear. They recommended I downgrade to 1.0.0.8, which I found wasn't any better. You might want to try 1.0.0.10 because the behaviour you are experiencing seems more like what I saw on the v1. Maybe the newer firmware would be better. |

| I used to use DD-WRT on a LinkSys WRT54G and it was rock solid but I haven't heard much positive about it on the WNDR3700 in terms of WIFI speed or reliability.
Do you have a WNDR3700 v1 or v2? What version of DD-WRT are you using? How do you like it? |

 | Other than the flakey attached devices display, the v2 has been reliable for us also. |
