I have had android questions before but end up sticking them in generic forums here, where they don't get the proper attention from those who truly know the answers. I don't want to go register at some other android websites for a simple question or two, when there are a ton of knowledgeable people right here. |

I think having an Android section would be great. You can argue all you want that there are several other Android specific sites on the web. Which is true. But the one draw back to those sites is many of us aren't regular users of those forums. Often times when someone new comes along it can be daunting for them to ask their question for fears of being a newb. The casual Android user (who is a regular at DSLR) will likely feel more comfortable asking questions in a forum here because they will be getting responses from users they already interact with on a regular basis.
If this Android section does come to fruition I will be a regular there to offer input. I'm an Android power user with a lot of experience rooting and ROMing and other stuff. Hell, I'll even volunteer to help moderate the section. |
