 | reply to DC Denton Yes, in Bethesda! I thought my brother and I were crazy. I was in the shower and thought just a helicopter until I thought the glass doors were going to break. A bunch of things fell ans got knocked out of place. |

hsindoggPremium join:2002-06-21 Potomac, MD | reply to DC Denton Yep, in Bethesda, that was a pretty intense quake.
Duration was at least 10 seconds, followed by a small aftershock I think. |
|
 | reply to DC Denton Yes, it happened months ago and this one seemed stronger--anyone have any details on this one? |
|
 | reply to themword This was felt across the entire world. This is a sign of the prophecy. Earthquakes felt worldwide which has never happened before. Reports say it was felt in China, Canada, California, Colorado, and heard it from Florida. |
|
 | reply to DC Denton Yes, it seemed stronger and longer than the one earlier this year. |

Duration was at least 10 seconds, followed by a small aftershock I think. Actually, there was a 5 second "vibration" before the main event, which lasted about 15 seconds here. I'm 7 stories up, about a mile from the White House. -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |

KoolMoeAw ManPremium join:2001-02-14 Annapolis, MD | reply to DC Denton Freaked out our office, third floor of three story building. Little shake at first...what's that? Construction? Then really started shaking and we all (calmly?) bolted for the stairs. Wacky. First earthquake i've ever experienced... KM -- Don't Lie - Be Kind - Realize your Potential |

| reply to DC DSL Guess you guys didn't evacuate. My wife is 3 blocks from the WH and her building was evacuated.
Vibration or not, it was significantly longer than the early morning earthquake early this year, and my building felt like a wet noodle swaying back and forth.
Anyone know if they expect anymore aftershocks/tremors? Not really comfortable staying in my building, since it's older and is almost all glass. |
|
DC DentonPremium join:2002-06-25 Silver Spring, MD | We evaced cause most of NIH buildings are older, but got the ok to go back in. I am just checking on things and going to ask to go home. Def if it there is any more rumblings im going. -- "When I was a child I spoke as a child I understood as a child I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things."
